Update as we Approach Break

Hi All,

We are at slightly different points with the 7th and 8th grades, but here we are at Spring Break. I hope it is a very enjoyable one for all!

7th Grade
We continue to look at the development of The United States Constitution in class. We will continue that work after break.
7TH GRADE HOMEWORK
READ PAGES 1-32 IN WARRIORS DON'T CRY AND PERFORM YOUR LITERATURE CIRCLE JOB BY FRIDAY, APRIL 15TH.

8th Grade
We are looking at the powers granted to the government in The Constitution. This will continue after break.
8TH GRADE HOMEWORK
READ PAGES 1-32 IN WARRIORS DON'T CRY AND PERFORM YOUR LITERATURE CIRCLE JOB BY THURSDAY, APRIL 14TH.

All of us are headed down the road of looking at the powers granted to the government and rights guaranteed to the people in The United States Constitution (especially the Bill of Rights and amendments 13-15). As the integration of Little Rock, Arkansas' Central High School in 1957 is our main case study for the rest of the year, looking critically at how the rights granted in The Constitution have been applied and denied to various groups of people throughout our nation's history will be very enlightening for the middle schoolers.

Enjoy the break!
