Here is an update on where we are in class.....
7TH GRADE
Thank you for your efforts on the EXTRA! EXTRA! reading, deciphering, summarizing, and creating a headline on that old document I had you read yesterday. We will revisit it briefly tomorrow in class.
Also, we will continue our work on the cycle of history, as we share our insights on the five components related to Tucson and President Obama's speech at the memorial service.
8TH GRADE
Thank you for your efforts taking on the bite size chunks of events that led to the American Revolution. We will revisit those on Thursday when we have CS again.

Crosswords and Quiz
Hi All,
I hope everyone had a good weekend. I wanted to remind everyone where we are in our state geography studies. I NEED EVERYONE'S COMPLETED CROSSWORD PUZZLE BY THIS THURSDAY, JANUARY 13TH. I am noticing really effective work researching and integrating important information into your clues and answers - very well done!
FOR HOMEWORK TODAY, YOU SHOULD HAVE COMPLETED FOUR OF YOUR PEERS' STATE CROSSWORD PUZZLES.
THE BIG ITEM OF THE WEEK WILL BE AN END-OF-SEMESTER QUIZ ON WEDNESDAY FOR THE 7TH GRADE AND THURSDAY FOR THE 8TH GRADE. HERE'S WHAT TO EXPECT:
1. BE ABLE TO DEFINE CULTURE.
2. KNOW THE EIGHT CULTURAL TRAITS.
3. BE ABLE TO DEFINE GEOGRAPHY.
4. KNOW THE FIVE THEMES OF GEOGRAPHY.
5. I WILL BE TAKING INFORMATION DIRECTLY FROM THE CLASSES' CROSSWORD PUZZLES, AND WILL BE ASKING YOU TO IDENTIFY THE CULTURAL TRAITS AND/OR THEMES OF GEOGRAPHY BEING ADDRESSED.
6. THERE WILL ALSO BE A SHORT WRITTEN PASSAGE FROM WHICH I WILL ASK YOU TO IDENTIFY EXAMPLES OF VARIOUS TRAITS AND THEMES.
